Systems are categorized 3 main genres, after that, we call them CUSTOM or HYBRID.
There are keg-box which are home use can only hold 1 keg (not advised to get for commercial use). Then you have “Commercial” Keg-boxes, they can hold from 4 up to 14 (1/6) kegs. The science behind the keg-box is that no matter the size of the “Keg-Box” it is considered a Direct Draw. Meaning that the keg is right below where the tap/tower Is. (Avg. PSI 12Lbs)
There are taps on the wall with a stainless steel back splash & drain. The cooler is on the other side of the wall that holds the taps/faucets. This is called a “Through-the-Wall” system. The amount of taps you can have with this system is dictated by the cooler on the other side and the wall where the taps will go. Through the wall system is in the DIRECT-DRAW genre but since there can be unto 10 inch gap from tap to cooler is set on its own sub genre. (Avg. PSI 12LBS)
There is a sweating or sometimes frozen tower with a few or a lot of taps/faucets. You are looking at the most dynamic system in draft systems. This system has 2 cooling systems in order to keep the products from being damaged by improper temperature. This system is called LONG-DRAW, the name says it all. The tower at the bar is pouring product remotely, some distance from cooler to tower can reach 250 feet +/-. There for your walk-in cooler and a Glycol Power Pack are needed to achieve a perfect pour at the tap. (Avg. PSI 25LBS +/-)
